Finding Memory Care Made Simple

Assisted Living Made Simple prides itself in having higher standards for recommending assisted living, independent, and memory care communities in the Palm Coast area.

We personally visit them on a regular basis and know the owners and staff.

memory care and assisted living

What is our criteria?

Our criteria is extremely high for us to place your loved one in a community.

We get to know your loved one, their likes and dislikes, how much they can afford because we do not want them to move again, we want to understand their social needs and their medical needs.

It’s then and only then that we will recommend 3 or more places for your loved one to live.

We then personally escort you to those places to show you and your loved ones around. We are not like the bigger companies that just give you a list of places and send you on your way.

We hold your hand every step of the way and we do it all for free, yes, free!

We charge you nothing!

Should we place your loved one into a community, we receive a portion from the community, not from you. If we don’t place your loved one in a community, then oh well, we hope we helped you out and wish you and them well.

Assisted Living Made Simple works for YOU!

We are with you and your loved one all the way, from start to finish! Let us guide you!

“Market Street Memory Care Facility is a beautiful new ALF in Palm Coast. Open and airy with a pleasing color palette, the building’s interior feels like a resort. As beautiful as the building is, it is the staff that makes this place truly great. From the friendly staff that greets visitors at the concierge desk to the nurses, aids, and business team Market Street provides a caring environment for our loved ones. 4.5/5

Types of Care: Memory Care | Independent Living | Assisted Living

What Loved Ones Are Saying About Tuscan Gardens Senior Living:

“My father was in the Memory Care Unit at Tuscan Gardens in Palm Coast for 10 months. I was pleased with the care he received there. For a long time, we were unable to visit him in person because of Covid, but they made accommodations for window visits, and even built a special see-through wall with protected arm holes to enable hugging. This installation was pure pleasure for my mother who was able to utilize the ”hug wall” with my dad several times before the home was actually re-opened to visitors. We all appreciated this innovation.

We found the caregivers and nursing staff to be warm and caring with my dad, and highly communicative with my mom and our family. I was happy with the activities they did with the residents, and the food was plentiful and nutritious. When my father deteriorated towards the end, the Tuscan Gardens staff took a team approach with a hospice organization to provide the most appropriate care possible, even enabling him to stay in the facility.

I highly recommend Tuscan Gardens if you have a loved one needing memory care.”

4.6/5

Types of Care: Assisted Living | Independent Living | Memory Care

What Loved Ones Are Saying About Sabal Palms:

“My loved one has resided in their memory care unit since September 2019. The facility is excellent well built and maintained (don’t forget we live in hurricane country so structure is important). While those items are important along with the food, the personal care etc., I believe that it’s management and staff people that truly make the difference. Management has kept the facility safe for all especially during this covid-19 impact. The staff provides individual care for the memory care residents and my spouse has thrived because of their dedication. Having dementia there is really not treatment or cure so it’s the day to day care that’s important. The food: I can’t tell you that the food is terrific (I don’t eat there) but my spouse has gained approximately twenty pounds since being admitted. By the way, she’s always been a picky eater. If she isn’t feeling well and not feeding herself, they will feed her.Is she happy, she can’t tell me but I can observe her reactions and know that she’s happy and feels safe. She’s kept clean, dressed well and by all outward signs, is pleased being a resident.Other than not having Alzheimer’s and being home with me, I’m glad that she resides at this facility.”

Types of Care: Memory Care | Assisted Living

What Loved Ones Are Saying About The Azure of Palm Coast:

“I just want to say that from the beginning of the building I spoke with Kathy Rebholz, and she is the nicest person and very knowledgeable about the Azure. Not only does she understand the hard times Family have with moving a Family member to an assisted living/memory care facility, but she actually cares about the entire family. And Azure is not even open yet. She has helped me and my family get through some very difficult times and was always available. I think the Azure is going to be the best addition to Palm Coast, especially if they hire people like Kathy.”

Is Palm Coast a Good Place to Live?

There are many reasons why Palm Coast is a fabulous place to live, but the weather is first and foremost. The average temperature is from 48⁰ to 90⁰; pretty perfect if you ask me.

The crime rate is low and cost of living is actually lower in Palm Coast.

How much does memory care facilities cost in Palm Coast, FL?

Insurance nor Medicare pays for memory care communities and the cost is approximately 30% higher than assisted living because of the level of care that is needed and the specialized training the staff requires. The cost generally starts at about $4200.00 and can go as high as $9000.00, again depending on the level of care required.

This is why we at Assisted Living Made Simple ask about your finances; we don’t want to place you somewhere you can’t afford, we want you to live there forever!

Included in your monthly cost are 3 meals a day, weekly housekeeping and laundry, transportation to doctor appointments, utilities, cable, activities, companionship and so much more.

You don’t have any kind of house or car insurance, no yard to maintain, no home repairs to make; you have peace of mind. Someone is always there if something happens or if something comes up.

What does memory care provide?

Memory care provides specialized care and services to assist seniors living with a type of dementia such as Alzheimer’s. The care in these communities are tailored to the special needs of the resident. Staff has undergone specialized training to care for those with impaired memories and the communities have special activities and schedules for those living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia.

What should you look for when deciding on a Memory care community?

When looking for a Memory Care Facility for your loved one that has Dementia or Alzheimer’s you’ll want to ask the following questions before making a decision.

  1. What is your training/criteria for your staff?
  2. Are they certified in Alzheimer’s and Dementia?
  3. How often is their training updated?
  4. What is your staff ratio to residents?
  5. What specialized activities do you provide?
  6. It’s always best to ask local placement companies for recommendations.
